TheOpportunityNew applicants are invitedto apply for this exciting Project Manager Role, to join our teamin Kununurra. This 12-month contract opportunity will see you leadthe planning, coordination and delivery of identified majorinfrastructure and capital works projects across the Shire,ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget andin accordance with legislative and regulatoryrequirements.
Your responsibilities willinclude:
- Managingthe end-to-end delivery of key infrastructure, civil andconstruction projects from planning through tocompletion;
- Developing andmaintaining project execution plans, schedules, budgets,cashflows, risk registers and governanceframeworks;
- Coordinating projectdesign development and ensuring technical specifications meetrelevant standards and legislative requirements;
- Supervising contractors,consultants and project teams to ensure safe, compliant andhigh-quality project outcomes;
- Undertaking siteinspections, monitoring project progress and resolvingconstruction, compliance or delivery issues as theyarise;
- Managingprocurement and tender processes, including preparation ofscopes of work, specifications, evaluations and contractnegotiations;
- Administering contractsincluding progress claims, variations, extensions of time,practical completion and defects liability periods;
- Monitoring projectexpenditure and financial performance, identifying risks andopportunities, and reporting on project budgets andmilestones;
- Preparing reports, grantapplications, funding submissions and project updates forCouncil, management and funding agencies;
- Buildingand maintaining positive relationships with community groups,government agencies, First Nations stakeholders, electedmembers and other key stakeholders;
- Representing the Shireat community meetings, consultation sessions and public forumsas required;
- Contributing tostrategic planning, continuous improvement initiatives andlong-term infrastructure planning outcomes;
- Ensuringcompliance with relevant legislation, procurement requirements,environmental and heritage obligations, and organisationalpolicies and procedures;
- Promoting a safeworkplace culture and actively participating in health, safetyand wellbeing initiatives.
Tertiary qualifications inCivil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or arelated discipli ne, together with a current unrestricted WA'C' Class Driver's Licence and an acceptable National PoliceClearance, are essential for this role.
You will also need demonstrated experiencedelivering major infrastructure or capital works projects, strongcontract administration and procurement skills, the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, excellent written andverbal communication skills, and proven experience managing projectbudgets, timelines and competing priorities.
Experience working in Local Government, regional or remoteenvironments, postgraduate qualifications in Project Management,and knowledge of project management and procurement systems will behighly regarded.

WorkingArrangementsWhile it is strongly preferred that theincumbent of this position is fully residential, the Shire is alsowilling to consider hybrid working arrangements for the rightcandidate.
Salary andBenefitsIf successful, depending onyour qualifications, skills and experience, you'll receive acompetitive package between $195,000p/a -$245,000p/a with housing and vehicle provisions to benegotiated. This salary range is intended to be inclusive ofapplicable allowances, superannuation and non-cashbenefits.
