ServiceNow ITOM Developer - 6-Month Contract - York - Inside IR35

Our client, a leading IT consultancy, is looking for a ServiceNow ITOM Developer to join a programme supporting a major UK financial services organisation. You will build and maintain Discovery, Service Mapping and Event Management across hybrid and cloud infrastructure, keep the CMDB healthy, and integrate ServiceNow with monitoring and security tools. This is a 6-month contract, Inside IR35, based in York on a hybrid basis, with an on-call element.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain MID Servers, credentials, schedules, probes, sensors and custom patterns to discover on-premises, cloud and hybrid infrastructure
• Build and fix service maps, and maintain CMDB health including CI classes, relationship rules, the Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) and data governance aligned to CSDM
• Set up event rules and alert filtering, and integrate with third-party monitoring tools (such as Dynatrace, Datadog and Splunk) to reduce noise
• Develop core logic using Business Rules, Script Includes, Flow Designer, Client Scripts and custom patterns
• Connect ServiceNow with external APIs, cloud platforms and directory services using REST/SOAP and Integration Hub

What You Will Ideally Bring

• Hands-on ServiceNow ITOM development experience, with demonstrated expertise in Discovery, Service Mapping and Event Management
• Extensive knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, with strong ServiceNow Scripting skills (JavaScript)
• Experience configuring and deploying ITOM across hybrid and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• A solid grasp of ITIL processes and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM), with REST/SOAP and Integration Hub experience
• Desirable: experience integrating ServiceNow with third-party monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Datadog or Splunk
