Enterprise AI Architect (Microsoft Copilot & Claude)
Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST preferred, flexible by time zone)
Rate: 95-100/hr
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise AI Architect to lead the design, governance, and adoption of Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Claude, and other agentic AI technologies across a large enterprise environment.
This is a hands-on architecture leadership role responsible for creating scalable, secure, and compliant AI solutions while establishing the standards, best practices, and governance frameworks that enable responsible AI adoption.
Key Responsibilities

• Define enterprise architecture standards and best practices for AI and automation platforms
• Design reference architectures, reusable patterns, and governance frameworks for AI solutions
• Lead architecture reviews and provide guidance throughout the solution lifecycle
• Partner with security, compliance, privacy, data governance, and business teams to ensure policy-aligned implementations
• Design integrations across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, enterprise applications, APIs, and knowledge repositories
• Establish standards for data access, identity management, monitoring, auditability, and responsible AI practices
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and make recommendations for enterprise adoption
• Mentor technical teams and promote architecture consistency across projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, cloud architecture, or software engineering
• Experience designing enterprise solutions across Microsoft 365, Power Platform, cloud, SaaS, and integration platforms
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Platform, Power Automate, Dataverse, Microsoft Graph, Azure services, or similar AI platforms
• Strong understanding of security, identity and access management, data governance, compliance, and AI governance
• Experience developing architecture standards, design patterns, and technology governance frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in highly regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or insurance
• Microsoft certifications related to Azure, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, Security, or Solution Architecture
• Experience with Claude, Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, AI-powered automation, and agentic AI platforms
• Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, enterprise knowledge management, and AI observability
• Experience leading AI governance, Centers of Excellence, or enterprise technology adoption programs
