The Role

• Oversee the operational running and strategic direction of a domestic abuse service and refuge.
• Provide leadership and line management to a team, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support.
• Manage the safety, security, and maintenance of the refuge, adhering to building standards.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding protocols, contract requirements, and performance KPIs.
• Facilitate the safe transition of service users and manage relationships with landlords and housing teams.
• Foster an inclusive, anti-racist, and feminist approach within the service.

What You'll Need

• Solid general education, ideally with Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English.
• Experience in supervising staff and delivering support to individuals with diverse needs.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment and management in domestic abuse contexts.
• Knowledge of welfare benefits, housing legislation, and safeguarding practices.
• Ability to work under pressure with emotional resilience, particularly in crisis situations.
• Fluency in English and at least one South Asian language (genuine occupational requirement).
