Job Description

When you join Babcock Power, you will be part of a team that innovates and designs sustainable solutions in the power generation industry. Our goal is to extend the life and improve the performance of existing boilers.

To support this goal, our manufacturing site, Boiler Tube of America, (BTA) manufactures pressure boiler components and auxiliary industrial boiler parts for boilers.

We are currently seeking a Press Brake Operator for our manufacturing site in Wellford, SC. This position is responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of CNC press brake equipment to fabricate precision metal components.


As a Press Brake Operator, you will:

· Set up, program, and operate CNC press brake machines to produce parts to specification

· Interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and work orders

· Select appropriate tooling, dies, and machine settings for each job

· Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality

· Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot issues to maintain production efficiency

· Train and mentor entry-level operators (P1/P2) as needed

· Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper machine operation procedures

· Maintain clean and organized work area (5S standards)

· Record production data and complete required documentation

·         Advanced blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge

·         Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and material properties

·         Experience with machine programming and setup

·         Ability to use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, etc.)

·         Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

·         Shift flexibility and ability to work overtime as needed

Education: High school diploma; technical training preferred

Experience: 5+ years of experience operating CNC press brakes in a manufacturing environment
