Electrical Design Engineer

Electrical Design Engineer Reading Up to 60k This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys designing electrical systems from scratch and wants the opportunity to make a real impact. You will play an important role in developing the design function, with the opportunity to establish yourself within the business and grow alongside the team.

Key Responsibilities Designing electrical systems and projects from scratch.<br />Producing detailed electrical design documentation.<br />Creating DLDs, load schedules and termination drawings.<br />Carrying out cable calculations using Trimble.<br />Producing electrical drawings using AutoCAD.<br />Working with other design software packages where required.<br />Supporting the development and growth of the design function.<br />Working independently as the first Design Engineer within the business.<br />Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs.

Key Requirements Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.<br />Experience designing electrical systems from scratch.<br />Strong experience producing DLDs, load schedules and termination drawings.<br />Experience using AutoCAD.<br />Experience using Trimble for cable calculations.<br />HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering would be highly desirable.<br />The ability to work independently and take ownership of your work.<br />A proactive approach and the ability to hit the ground running.<br />Experience within the water industry would be highly advantageous.

Desirable Experience Previous experience within the water industry.<br />Experience working within a transferable industry, such as utilities, infrastructure, engineering or other technically complex environments.<br />Experience using a range of electrical design software packages.<br />Experience working within a growing design function or building processes from the ground up
