Job Description

IBM Z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition Consultant

Remote

Contract

zCEE Installation & Upgrade (Primary Focus)

Install and configure IBM z/OS Connect Enterprise Edition (zCEE) on z/OS

Upgrade existing zCEE environments to support OpenAPI Specification 3 (OAS3)

Perform system setup, configuration, and environment validation

Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure performance optimization

Apply best practices for security, scalability, and high availability

Environment & Integration Support

Configure connectivity with backend systems (e.g., CICS, IMS, DB2)

Support deployment and validation of APIs within zCEE

Ensure compatibility with existing OAS2 services during transition

Limited API & Training Support

Provide guidance on recreating OAS2 APIs into OAS3 (manual approach)

Support developers with:

Swagger/OpenAPI authoring basics

API deployment in zCEE

Deliver basic admin/end-user knowledge transfer
