Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Position Overview:
Red Arch Solutions is hiring a Software Engineer to join a priority program in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Position Description:

• The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing- intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
• Works individually or as part of a team.
• Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.
• Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
• Use JAVA and JMS to implement Business Logic
• Customize COTS products to meet Federal Data Guidelines and implement access controls
• Familiarity with Containerization and Software Architecture
• Familiarity with Data modeling
• Mentor other Software Developers
• Work with Systems Engineers for JAVA ticketing
• Familiarity with Application performance monitoring (APM)
• Experience with AWS
• Work using communications protocols to interface with COTS tools
• Recommend and implement a testing solution to cover multiple test cases (unit, component, end to end)
• Implement C4 modeling (c4model.com) for visualizing Software ArchitectureRequirements:
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Ten (10) years’ experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degreeSalary range for this position: $188,000-196,000 #CJ  The Red Arch Solutions pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several factors including, but not limited to, level of position, job responsibilities, geographic location, scope of relevant work experience, educational background, certifications, contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, alignment with local internal equity as well as alignment with market data.
