Data Engineer with Security Clearance

Duration: 6 month contract to hire, you will convert perm after 6 months
Location: Onsite in North Charleston, SC Clearance: Secret, will hold TS if you already have it
Compensation: $60-73/hr during contract, converting between $120-150k depending on experience, education, certifications, etc

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems, Computer Science or Mathematics
5+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, and/or software development
Secret Clearance eligibility
Willingness to get Security + certification within 90 days of start date
Experience in a hands-on app dev environment, engineering diverse data sets, ETL's, data pipelines, triggers, historical tables, etc.

Insight Global is seeking a hybrid Senior Data Engineer to support a large federal client in North Charleston SC. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions including data pipelines, ETL's, triggers, historical data structures, data repository, and overall data architecture.

Working alongside a separate data lead who gathers business requirements and interfaces with customers, this role will focus on translating those requirements into robust technical solutions and leading the technical team in those efforts
The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience in backend development and data engineering, with a proven track record of building and optimizing large-scale data platforms. This is not a DBA or administrative position. We are looking for a technical leader who can engineer data, mentor team members, and actively contribute to development efforts.
