TypeScript Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a TypeScript Developer with strong AWS and ETL experience to build and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend services. You will design serverless, event-driven workflows that move, transform, and serve data reliably, working closely with data engineers, product teams, and DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using TypeScript (Node.js) on AWS
• Build serverless applications with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, and SNS
• Ingest data from APIs, databases, files, and streaming sources into S3, Redshift, DynamoDB, or RDS
• Use AWS Glue, Athena, and Kinesis to support batch and near-real-time processing
• Write clean, typed, testable code and enforce data quality, validation, and schema checks
• Optimize pipeline performance, cost, and reliability, including retries, idempotency, and error handling
• Provision infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
• Set up CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and alerting (CloudWatch, X-Ray)
• Build and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs that expose processed data
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning
• Document data flows, architecture, and operational runbooks

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in TypeScript/Node.js
• Hands-on experience with core AWS services: Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, API Gateway, CloudWatch
• Proven experience building ETL/data pipelines (extraction, transformation, loading, orchestration)
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL stores
• Experience with data formats such as JSON, CSV, Parquet, and Avro
• Familiarity with event-driven and serverless architecture patterns
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing (Jest, Mocha, or similar)
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, authentication, and security best practices
