Job Description
US AC's target compensation range for a new hire into this position is $80,000 - $105,000 USD per year. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors based on knowledge, skills, and experience, as evaluated throughout the interview process. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. USAC has a comprehensive benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, FSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Commuter Benefits and Wellness Programs.

Working in a creative and fast-paced environment, the Product (UX) Designer II position is responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered digital experiences, bridging the gap between user needs and business goals. Unlike junior designers, a Product (UX) Designer II is expected to take more ownership of their work, lead design workshops, handle complex tasks with less supervision, and actively influence the product development process.

Responsibilities
- User Research & Analysis: Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing to identify user personas, behaviors, and pain points.
- Design & Prototyping: Translate research insights into wireframes, task flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. Help maintain and contribute to USAC's design system. Maintain design and interaction consistency across products.
- Iterative Testing: Lead usability testing sessions to validate design concepts and refine them based on direct user feedback.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, developers, and other designers to ensure design solutions align with business objectives, technical constraints, USAC's design system, and UX best practices.
- Presentation & Advocacy: Present design work and rationales to stakeholders, advocating for user-centered solutions.
- Other duties, as assigned.
About You
The successful candidate will excel at operating in a diverse and fluid environment and will be crucial for the success of our IT team and have:
- Bachelor's degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or a related field, and/or relevant technical training and certifications.
- Minimum of Three (3) years of professional directly related experience.
- Software Proficiency: Expertise in industry-standard tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of information architecture, usability principles, and responsive design; basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
- Prototyping : Ability to create high-fidelity, interactive prototypes to test complex logic and edge cases.
- Process: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Human-Centered Design principles.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, ability to multitask and problem-solve, and ability to self-motivate and work with little supervision to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including the ability to communicate complex, interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Research: Working understanding of how to create and conduct user interviews and usability tests and to distill findings into actionable reports.
