Quick Overview
Job Description
2063 Recruiter – Technical & Professional Staffing
Position Summary
Talent Advantage Group (TAG) is a smaller, agile boutique staffing firm seeking an experienced Recruiter to join our team. We work closely with our clients to provide highly personalized recruiting solutions across a broad range of disciplines, with a significant focus on Information Technology and Engineering, as well as Accounting & Finance, Human Resources, Sales, Manufacturing, Operations, and other professional positions based on our clients' needs.
This is not a high-volume, transactional recruiting position. We are looking for an experienced recruiter who can understand a client's business need, dig into the requirements of a position, identify the right talent, and confidently evaluate whether a candidate is truly a fit.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably 5+ years, strong technical recruiting experience, and hands-on experience using Bullhorn ATS. This person should be resourceful, organized, comfortable working independently, and able to quickly shift between very different types of searches.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire positions.
- Recruit across a variety of disciplines, with a strong emphasis on IT, Engineering, and technical positions.
- Support additional searches in areas such as HR, Accounting & Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, Operations, and other professional disciplines.
- Partner closely with leadership to understand each client's business, culture, position requirements, priorities, and ideal candidate profile.
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies for difficult-to-fill and specialized positions.
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, Dice, Bullhorn, referrals, networking, job boards, and other recruiting resources.
- Build Boolean searches and utilize creative sourcing techniques to identify passive and active candidates.
- Conduct thorough candidate interviews and evaluate technical experience, career history, communication skills, motivation, compensation, availability, and overall fit.
- Ask meaningful follow-up questions rather than simply matching keywords on a resume.
- Present qualified candidates with clear, accurate candidate summaries highlighting relevant experience.
- Manage candidates throughout the interview and hiring process.
- Prepare candidates for client interviews and maintain communication throughout the process.
- Gather interview feedback and assist with offer and closing conversations.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate records, notes, activities, and status updates in Bullhorn.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future client needs.
- Re-engage qualified candidates already within the Bullhorn database.
- Maintain a high level of candidate care and professionalism throughout the recruiting process.
- Work effectively in a fast-moving boutique environment where priorities can change quickly.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional recruiting experience; 5+ years strongly preferred.
- Previous experience recruiting for IT, Engineering, or other technical positions.
- Hands-on Bullhorn ATS experience required.
- Experience sourcing through LinkedIn, Indeed, Monster, Dice, and other recruiting platforms.
- Strong Boolean search and candidate sourcing skills.
- Experience conducting detailed candidate interviews and assessing fit beyond resume keywords.
- Ability to understand technical job descriptions and learn unfamiliar technologies or skill sets quickly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple open positions and changing priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable recruiting across multiple industries and job functions.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively with limited supervision.
- Strong sense of urgency without sacrificing candidate quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of agency staffing/recruiting experience.
- Experience recruiting for both contract and direct-hire positions.
- Experience recruiting across multiple disciplines rather than one specialized vertical.
- Established candidate network within IT and/or Engineering.
- Experience working within a smaller staffing agency or entrepreneurial environment.
