Sr. Big Data Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Big Data Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). You willdevelop and maintain real-time data pipelines and backend APIs that support connected vehicle and fleet management platforms.
Rate Range: $55/Hour to $65/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Sr. Big Data Engineer Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that process high-volume telematics and connected vehicle data.
• Build and optimize real-time and batch data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Kafka, and Pub/Sub to support fleet intelligence solutions.
• Develop and manage cloud-native applications and microservices on Google Cloud Platform using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Design data models and warehouse solutions that enable efficient analytics, reporting, and operational insights.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities and intelligent automation solutions to enhance data-driven decision-making and vehicle analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, performance tuning, API versioning, and continuous delivery best practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), BigQuery, Big Data technologies, and building scalable data pipelines.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful/gRPC APIs, distributed backend systems, and high-volume data processing solutions.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
