Job Description
Role: Lead Software Testing / EMV Certification Engineer Retail POS & Payment Devices
Location: Bentonville, AR (Onsite from Day 1)
Job Type: Contract
Job Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced EMV Certification Engineer to lead and support EMV certification activities for mobile checkout and retail payment devices.
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EMV certification, payment transaction testing, retail POS systems, and payment device validation.
- This role involves working closely with payment authorizers, internal engineering teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful certification and deployment of payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute EMV certification activities for payment devices across multiple payment authorizers.
- Perform certification testing, validation, and re-testing of payment transactions until certification requirements are successfully met.
- Execute EMV test cases using Collis certification tools and validate test results.
- Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of payment devices and certification environments.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and support teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve certification-related issues.
- Analyze certification failures, document findings, and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Maintain detailed certification documentation, test logs, execution reports, and supporting artifacts.
- Support payment transaction testing, including authorization, settlement, refunds, reversals, and other transaction scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with payment network and certification standards.
- Provide ongoing testing support throughout certification and deployment cycles.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with EMV certification and payment device testing.
- Strong experience with retail POS systems and payment transaction validation.
- Experience working with Ingenico payment devices.
- Proficiency with Collis certification/testing tools.
- Experience testing credit card, debit card, and payment transactions in retail environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting certifications for Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or other payment networks.
- Experience with contactless payment certifications.
- Knowledge of payment processing workflows and transaction lifecycles.
- Previous experience in retail payment environments.
- Familiarity with additional payment terminal platforms such as Verifone, PAX, or similar devices.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
