The Role • Provide expert medical care for both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology patients. • Independently perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures (gastroscopy, colonoscopy) and supervise others, including ERCP and endosonography. • Share responsibility for ward management, lead consultations, and coordinate patient treatment plans. • Actively participate in the supervision and training of junior doctors. • Collaborate closely with other internal medicine sections, surgical, radiological, and other departments. • Contribute to the development of medical concepts, clinical pathways, and quality standards, participating in on-call duties. What You'll Need • Specialist qualification in Internal Medicine, with a focus or willingness to specialize in Gastroenterology. • Proven experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with basic knowledge or willingness to train in endosonography and ERCP. • Proficiency in using clinical information systems for documentation, treatment steering, and coding. • Strong organizational, independent work ethic, with excellent decision-making and prioritization skills. • Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities in a multidisciplinary environment. • Interest in developing medical processes, quality assurance, and medical education.
