We are looking for a Brokerage Operations Specialist to further build out our Operations team in London, United Kingdom (UK). We are looking for an Operations professional with demonstrated experience in securities and brokerage as well as regulatory compliance related topics and who is excited to work at the intersection of regulation, technology, and finance. 

This is the UK first-line brokerage operations lead role, accountable for operational oversight, control execution, and service delivery across Robinhood UK brokerage processes, including outsourced and intercompany operational dependencies

This role is based in our London, UK office, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do

• Support the launch, improvement, and scaling of Robinhood UK operations, products, tools, and systems
• Own first-line oversight of UK brokerage operations, including transaction reporting controls, transfer operations, outsourced service-provider oversight, and operational risk management.
• Ensure all daily operations align with FCA CASS (Client Money & Asset) regulations and support the delivery of good customer outcomes under the FCA Consumer Duty.
• Partner with Robinhood teams such as Brokerage Operations, Compliance, Risk, Customer Experience (CX), Finance, Product, Engineering and Vendor Management 
• Oversee and monitor the performance of operational business partners in line with the intercompany agreements and SLAs
• Continuous process efficiency improvement - leveraging AI and data to improve operational processes and reduce operational risk
• Responsible for maintaining operational Standard Operating Procedures and processes.
• Partner with the Risk & Compliance team (2nd line) to review, implement and operate the required frameworks and controls to support regulatory requirements.  
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, control remediation, and operational readiness work for new launches and material process changes
• Foster a culture of professionalism, high ethical standards, personal development, and regulatory compliance and promoting the core values and risk culture.

What you bring

• Based in the United Kingdom with the ability to work in our London office at least 3 days a week. 
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of operational experience specialising in financial services 
• Passionate about financial services and fintech
• Deep experience with UK brokerage operations, CASS rules, and tax wrappers (including ISA servicing, transfers, reconciliations, and exception handling).
• Proactively identifying automation opportunities, and using data to prioritise process improvements and control uplift
• Experience working across large projects with multiple work streams and coordinating cross functional teams 
• Experience managing outsourced operational partners and holding them to SLAs, controls, reconciliations, and service-quality standards
• Exceptional attention to detail, collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in applying data analysis to solve business problems 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Open minded, curious, knowledgeable, proactive and not being afraid of asking for help and offering help
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple functional groups
• Resourceful and adaptive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
• Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment certifications
