Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst with strong experience supporting technology and enterprise integration initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA teams, and project leadership.
This individual must have a strong understanding of Microsoft Azure Integration Services (AIS) and be comfortable analyzing system-to-system integrations, APIs, data flows, business processes, and technical requirements.
The successful candidate will translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data mappings, and test scenarios.
Experience with Hyphen Solutions, particularly BuildPro, is considered a strong plus.
Must-Have Skills
- Senior-level experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Integration Business Analyst.
- Strong experience supporting technology, application integration, or cloud transformation projects.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Integration Services, including:
- Azure Logic Apps
- Azure Functions
- Azure API Management
- Azure Service Bus
- Azure Event Grid or Event Hub
- Strong understanding of system-to-system, cloud-to-cloud, and cloud-to-on-premise integrations.
- Experience gathering and documenting functional, technical, integration, data, reporting, and security requirements.
- Experience translating business requirements into:
- Epics, features, and user stories
- Acceptance criteria
- Business and system requirements
- Current-state and future-state process flows
- Source-to-target data mappings
- Functional specifications
- Strong understanding of API and integration concepts, including REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, messaging, event-driven integrations, and data transformations.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps or Jira for backlog management, user stories, defects, requirements traceability, and sprint activities.
- Experience facilitating requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, process-mapping sessions, and technical discussions.
- Strong experience supporting testing, defect resolution, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate information between business and technical audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, integration architects, developers, QA teams, and project leadership.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, technical, integration, reporting, and data requirements.
- Support enterprise integration initiatives involving Azure Integration Services and other cloud or on-premise applications.
- Analyze existing business processes and create current-state and future-state process flows.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Document system interfaces, integration points, APIs, data flows, field-level mappings, transformation rules, business rules, and error-handling requirements.
- Partner with Azure architects and developers to ensure requirements are technically feasible, scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops, Joint Application Development sessions, stakeholder interviews, and solution-review meetings.
- Identify gaps, risks, dependencies, assumptions, and potential impacts across business processes and integrated systems.
- Maintain requirements traceability and ensure requirements are tracked from initial discovery through implementation and UAT approval.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support test planning by developing test scenarios, reviewing test cases, validating integration results, and coordinating UAT activities.
- Work closely with QA and development teams to investigate defects and confirm that delivered solutions meet documented requirements.
- Prepare project documentation, meeting notes, decision logs, risk and issue logs, status reports, process guides, and training materials.
- Support implementation, deployment, change management, and post-production validation activities.
- Assist project managers with coordination, prioritization, status tracking, stakeholder communication, and project-related deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Technical Business Analyst.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting application integration, cloud, middleware, API, or enterprise technology projects.
- Demonstrated experience working with Azure Integration Services or comparable integration and iPaaS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of requirements elicitation, business process analysis, systems analysis, and requirements management.
- Experience documenting APIs, data mappings, system interfaces, integration workflows, and transformation rules.
- Familiarity with SQL and the ability to perform basic data analysis or validation.
- Experience working throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, from project initiation and requirements gathering through testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Strong experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, documentation, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a hybrid, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Hyphen Solutions, particularly BuildPro.
- Experience within the residential construction, homebuilding, real estate, supply chain, purchasing, or vendor-management industries.
- Experience with B2B, EDI, API modernization, or legacy-to-cloud integration projects.
- Knowledge of construction scheduling, purchase orders, supplier coordination, job management, or project-management workflows.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar documentation tools.
- Experience supporting Azure DevOps pipelines, CI/CD processes, integration monitoring, or production-support activities.
- CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, CAPM, CSM, or other Business Analysis or Agile certifications.
- Microsoft Azure certification or formal Azure training.

The ideal candidate is a senior, technology-focused Business Analyst who can confidently communicate with both business stakeholders and highly technical Azure teams. This person should understand how business processes, applications, APIs, data, and cloud integrations work together and be capable of converting complex requirements into clear, actionable, and testable deliverables.
