Job description

About the Team

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is a specialty retailer of high-quality products for the home. Rejuvenation is a design-driven brand offering lighting, hardware, furniture, and home furnishings rooted in timeless style and quality craftsmanship. The Web Merchandising team brings the Rejuvenation assortment and brand story to life online, partnering across Merchandising, Creative, Marketing, Inventory, and Site Operations to deliver an inspiring, accurate, and easy-to-shop customer experience.

About the Role

The Senior Manager, Web Merchandising leads strategy, performance improvement, and execution across multiple assigned categories on Rejuvenation.com. This role establishes seasonal direction, makes merchandising decisions with a high degree of autonomy within the broader site strategy, and leads complex initiatives that improve the customer experience and business results.

The Senior Manager directly manages Associates and reports to the VP, Ecommerce. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines daily merchandising work with team development, planning across categories, and cross-functional decision-making. The role partners with fellow Web Merchandising leaders to align category plans, shared priorities, and the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set annual and seasonal merchandising direction and a prioritized roadmap across assigned categories, aligned to brand goals, assortment priorities, customer needs, and inventory conditions.

  • Drive merchandising performance through regular business reviews, translating sales, conversion, AOV, traffic productivity, and inventory insights into action.

  • Independently make category merchandising decisions within the overall site strategy, resolving tradeoffs and escalating material risks.

  • Execute daily merchandising, product attribute updates, and site maintenance alongside the team, maintaining accuracy and quality.

  • Improve category shopping experiences through navigation, filters, on-site search, product ranking, project shopping journeys, and storytelling placement.

  • Guide product template and image strategies, establishing clear requirements with Site Operations, Creative, and PIP Creative.

  • Oversee launch and seasonal merchandising readiness, confirming product placement, attributes, imagery requirements, and merchandising QA while resolving dependencies to meet deadlines.

  • Lead assigned cross-category initiatives and optimization tests, defining requirements, success measures, and rollout plans with Analytics, Site Operations, and Technology.

  • Align plans and resolve competing priorities with Product Merchandising, Inventory, Marketing, Creative, and Site Operations.

  • Balance workload and resources across categories; partner with fellow Web Merchandising leaders to strengthen shared standards, workflows, and site consistency.

  • Manage and develop Associates, Assistants, and Managers as applicable, building independent judgment, analytical skills, accountability, and execution quality.

Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • At least 7 years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, site merchandising, or a related field.

  • At least 4 years of people management experience, with demonstrated success developing team members and leading work across multiple categories.

  • Experience setting merchandising strategy across categories and delivering complex site initiatives through cross-functional teams.

  • Strong commercial and analytical judgment, with the ability to connect site decisions to sales, conversion, AOV, sell-through, and inventory productivity.

  • Deep understanding of category shopping journeys, product discoverability, digital storytelling, and site optimization.

  • Ability to make decisions with limited direction, influence senior partners, and balance strategic leadership with daily execution.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Adobe Analytics or similar platforms and workflow tools such as Airtable or Jira preferred.

  • Strong interest in home furnishings, design, and the Rejuvenation brand.

  • This role requires being onsite in the Portland office Monday through Thursday, with Friday optional in the office.
