Technical Writers & Technical Illustrators

Overview

We're currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Technical Writers and Technical Illustrators interested in contract opportunities supporting major Defence programs across Naval, Land and Air.

Our clients are Defence Primes, consultancies and SME's delivering complex capability programs. We're regularly engaged to source contractors for assignments ranging from short-term project support through to long-term engagements.

We're particularly interested in speaking with professionals based in Melbourne, although we'd also welcome conversations with candidates seeking remote opportunities, where projects allow.

Experience & Qualifications

• Technical writing or technical illustration within Defence or other highly regulated engineering environments.
• Developing or maintaining:
  
  • Technical publications and support documentation
  • Operator and Maintenance Documentation
  • Interactive Electronic Technical Publications
  • Engineering change documentation
  • Manufacturing Process Instructions
• Defence documentation standards such as DEF(AUST) 5629, ASD S1000D, MIL-STDs or equivalent.
• Working closely with engineering, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), project teams and end users to produce accurate technical documentation.

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

• A current Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1, NV2 or higher), or one that can be readily reactivated.
• Defence industry experience across Naval, Land or Air programs.
• Availability/interest for contract work.
