The Opportunity:
StaffRight Associates is recruiting partner for an established, 80-year-old power design organization in Atlanta, Georgia. We are seeking an accomplished Senior Electrical Engineer to spearhead complex utility initiatives, oversee high-stakes infrastructure endeavors, and drive long-term technical excellence. This pivotal role offers exceptional stability, clear growth avenues, and the opportunity to lead critical engineering solutions across an expanding portfolio of energy projects.
What You’ll Do:
Architect comprehensive protection and control schemes for utility substations, transmission lines, transformers, capacitors, and associated grid infrastructure.
Direct multidisciplinary teams of engineers and drafters, providing technical oversight and mentoring junior staff to ensure top-tier engineering quality.
Manage full project lifecycles, maintaining strict adherence to schedules, financial budgets, and scope requirements.
Develop innovative internal processes to streamline substation design accuracy, documentation appearance, and adherence to customer standards.
Execute specialized engineering calculations and technical studies covering voltage drop, fault current, and insulation coordination.
Collaborate seamlessly with internal colleagues, construction contractors, consultants, and clients to resolve on-site engineering challenges.
Contribute to business development by supporting proposal creation, technical specifications writing, and project cost estimating.
What You Bring:
Bachelor Of Science In Electrical Engineering or higher from an EAC/ABET accredited program, or approved NCEES evaluation of international credentials.
Licensed Professional Engineer certification.
5 To 20 Years of progressive, hands-on engineering experience within the utility or energy sector.
Substation Design and Transmission Systems expertise, including advanced knowledge of electrical equipment arrangements.
Protection And Control proficiency, encompassing AC/DC Schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, relay settings, and SCADA Communication Design.
Project Management capabilities combined with strong business acumen and technical leadership skills.
Compensation & Total Rewards:
Annual Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 (Full Time/Direct Hire).
Relocation Paid: No.
