Project Manager (Govt. Exp.)

Trigyn's direct government client in Arlington, VA has a long-term contract assignment for a Project Manager- REMOTE position but candidates MUST be local to VA/MD/DC.
NOTE- Client is looking for a HANDS-ON PM who in addition to standard project manager responsibilities will facilitate meetings (with technical and non-technical members), lead problem solving conversations and track meeting minutes and follow up items.
MUST have very good customer skills and be able to patiently communicate effectively with the Vendors and other depts. (technical and non-technical).

Description

The project manager will be hands on lead in the implementation of a comprehensive, integrated, homeless management information system and client case management information system. The systems will securely store and manage an array of human service client demographic and programmatic information. The management systems will include components for client registration and profiling, case management, enrollment and waitlist management, and staff training. Specifically, the Project Manager will:
? Facilitate and track development of functional requirements defined in the contract
?

Establish vendor, IT and business partnerships to support system implementation
? Develop and monitor the detailed project schedule and work plan
? Demonstrate that all system requirements are tested, verified and implemented using a traceability matrix
? Coordinate the overall project and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
? Utilize industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout entire project execution
? Develop and implement a communication plan to keep all stakeholders informed of progress, challenges and status
?

Measure and report project health, risk and performance to identify areas for improvement and risk remediation plan.

The successful candidate will be an excellent and frequent communicator (orally and in writing) and have expertise using Microsoft Excel and/or other project management software, strong familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices, experience developing project presentations to stakeholders (technical and non-technical) , proven ability to solve problems, experience seeing projects through the full life cycle, excellent analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful, and proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline.

Implementation of two new commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) business systems or a single system with - customer service and case management and homeless management information (HMIS) components in the Finance and Information Systems Division. DHS is an integrated department with a staff of over 800, providing behavioral health, social services, public health, employment and economic assistance services. In addition, DHS works in close partnership with nearly 50 area nonprofit organizations to meet the full range of community needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

? Bachelor?s degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Public or Business Administration or a related field
? Five or more years of project management experience.
Exposure to Customer Experience good to have.

Desirable

? Business knowledge in Department of Housing and Urban Development Homeless Assistance Programs
? Experience in a technology field related to human services, local government, or nonprofits;
? Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
