Jira Consultant – London - Asset/ Investment Management - Jira Premium

6-Month Initial Contract | London | Hybrid Working

We are looking for an experienced Jira Implementation Consultant / Jira Solutions Consultant to support a major Jira transformation programme within a leading Wealth Management organisation .

The successful candidate will take ownership of the design, configuration and optimisation of the organisation's Jira environment, ensuring it effectively supports portfolio, programme and team-level delivery .

This is not simply a Jira administration role. We are looking for someone who can define the target-state Jira operating model , establish appropriate governance and standards, configure Jira Premium capabilities and leave the organisation with a scalable and sustainable Jira environment.

1. Design and implement the target-state Jira operating model , aligned with portfolio and programme delivery requirements.
2. Review the existing Jira environment and identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and optimise its use.
3. Configure Jira to support portfolio, programme, project and team-level delivery .
4. Design and configure Jira projects, workflows, issue types, screens, fields, permissions and schemes.
5. Maximise the use of Jira Premium , particularly Advanced Roadmaps, Forms and Automation .
6. Configure Advanced Roadmaps to provide portfolio-level planning, dependencies, milestones and delivery visibility.
7. Develop dashboards, reporting and management information to improve visibility across the change portfolio.
8. Establish appropriate Jira governance, standards, controls and administration processes .
9. Work closely with the PMO, Programme Managers, Project Managers, Technology teams and senior stakeholders to understand delivery and reporting requirements.
10. Identify and remove unnecessary complexity and inconsistent Jira practices across teams.
11. Create documentation, standards and operating procedures for the ongoing management of Jira.
12. Provide knowledge transfer, coaching and training to PMO resources, enabling the internal team to manage the platform with minimal external support.

1. Strong hands-on experience implementing and configuring Atlassian Jira within complex organisations.
2. Excellent knowledge of Jira Premium , including Advanced Roadmaps, Forms and Automation .
3. Proven experience designing Jira environments to support portfolio, programme and project management .
4. Strong understanding of PMO, portfolio governance and change delivery processes .
5. Experience designing Jira workflows, permissions, issue hierarchies, reporting structures and governance standards.
6. Ability to translate business and PMO requirements into practical Jira solutions.
7. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across business, technology and change teams.
8. Experience delivering Jira training, documentation and knowledge transfer .
9. Able to work independently and take ownership of the Jira implementation from design through to adoption.

1. Previous experience within Wealth Management, Asset Management or Investment Management .
2. Experience supporting enterprise-wide change portfolios or transformation programmes .
3. Experience integrating Jira with Confluence and other Atlassian products .
4. Atlassian/Jira certifications would be advantageous.
