Animal Care Assistant (FTC)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Animal Care Assistant to join our team at Inglis Vets on a part-time fixed-term basis for 18 months.

Inglis Vets is a well-established veterinary group delivering round-the-clock care across Fife, Kinross, Alloa, Polbeth and Edinburgh. With eight branch practices and a fully equipped hospital in Dunfermline, we offer comprehensive care to our patients 24/7.

Our friendly and experienced team of RVNs, ACAs, VCAs, vets and support staff work closely across all nine sites, supported by our Dunfermline Hospital for all out-of-hours and emergency services.

Across Inglis Vets, we have approximately 30 vets, a nursing team of 30, and a dedicated support team of around 30 colleagues who work together to keep our nine sites running smoothly day to day.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care, while helping to ensure the practice environment runs smoothly and safely.

Working under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll support inpatient care, assist with patient handling and restraint, help maintain clinical areas and equipment, and contribute to a positive and compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

The ideal candidate will have experience or a passion for working with animals, and a Veterinary Care Assistant qualification would be a bonus. Working as part of a small, dedicated team based in Dunfermline, you will have the chance to make a real difference to patient outcomes.
