Electrical Design Engineer<br />Certain Advantage is hiring for an Electrical Design Engineer based in the Southwest area.<br />This role is on a permanent basis and is site-based. The Role:<br />This role is for an Electrical Design Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.<br />You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for: Development and delivery of electrical design packages from concept through to detailed design.<br />Producing engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and technical substantiation to support new installations, system modifications and infrastructure projects.The Individual We’re looking for people who can show: Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.<br />Electrical design packages within a highly regulated industry.<br />Strong understanding of LV and HV power distribution systems.<br />Electrical calculations, technical specifications and design substantiation.<br />Knowledge of electrical design standards and industry codes of practice.<br />Knowledge of BS 7671, IEC standards and relevant industry regulations.<br />Experience using CAD and electrical design software.Desirable Attributes: Experience working in defence, nuclear, energy, infrastructure or industrial sectors.<br />Familiarity with ETAP, Amtech, Trimble, AutoCAD Electrical or similar design tools.<br />Experience supporting design reviews, hazard assessments and safety case documentation.<br />Strong communication, stakeholder management and technical report-writing skills.The
