Senior Data Fusion and Tracking Systems Engineer

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Senior Data Fusion and Tracking Systems Engineer to lead design, modeling, and implementation of advanced multi-sensor fusion and tracking algorithms for national security and space applications. You will architect end-to-end tracking systems, develop and evaluate algorithms in simulation and hardware-in-the-loop environments, and collaborate with experts in sensing, autonomy, and AI. Responsibilities

• Design and implement multi-sensor data fusion and tracking algorithms for defense and space systems
• Architect end-to-end tracking and fusion system solutions from requirements through deployment
• Develop, run, and analyze simulations and hardware-in-the-loop experiments to evaluate performance
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in sensing, autonomy, and AI to integrate capabilities
• Document designs, analyses, and results; present technical findings to sponsors and stakeholders
• Support concept development, trade studies, and prototyping for new mission capabilities
