Title: Active Directory Engineer
Location – Charlotte, NC or Brevard, NC or Chandler, AZ or Philadelphia, PA or Iselin, NJ (Hybrid)

W2 Contract (Possibility for Contract to Hire)
Job Description:
- This is an engineering position, not an operations or administrator position.
- Engineer is expected to have hands on experience building, configuring and managing active directory domain controllers in a highly complex environment.
- The Active Directory senior engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining enterprise-level Active Directory (AD) environments.
- This role ensures secure, scalable, and compliant identity and access management across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and manage Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, group policies, and organizational units.
- Deploy and manage 14 applications supporting Active Directory.
- Update software and configurations to address vulnerabilities.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex AD issues, including authentication, replication, and access control.
- Develop, update and enforce security standards for AD, including privileged access management and audit logging.
- Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and application teams to integrate AD with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
- Maintain documentation and provide technical guidance for AD operations and best practices.
- Participate in compliance reviews and risk assessments related to identity and access management.
- Manage workload in Jira using Agile principles.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with Active Directory administration in large enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Group Policy, DNS, and related technologies.
- Proven ability to design and implement secure AD architectures.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell preferred).
- Familiarity with IAM frameworks, privileged access management, and compliance requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Azure AD, hybrid identity solutions, and cloud integrations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
- Experience with Microsoft HyperV Management.
Must Haves:
- 5 plus years Active Directory Engineering
- Power Shell Scripting
- Experience with Domain Controller Virtualization.
- Experience building domain controllers
- Experience with Domain Controller Management/Administration
- Experience using Jira
- Experience working in Agile environment.
