Java Developer

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a strong Java Developer to support a local, growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience with enterprise java applications, supporting database production/performance for applications, and willing to work onsite 3 days/week.
The Java Developer will be responsible for supporting application design as well as programming complex applications using Java and Oracle to support and meet business requirements.
Duties:

• Support design efforts through the collaboration with business system analysts and technical SMEs, providing insight into code structure and business logic used within the development process.
• Design and develop backend services using Java 11, 17, and 21 and SpringBoot frameworks.
• Support migration efforts, rewriting legacy Java and architecting microservices as well as new APIs to reduce technical debt.
• Support middleware, working with WebSphere.
• Analyze database production and performance to optimize Oracle workflows and data consumption, working closely with DBAs and support specialists.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, working with Maven and Jenkins.

Qualifications

• In-depth experience supporting backend application development using Java 11 and/or 17
• Heavy Oracle or other relational database focused support work
• Experience supporting web service and application migration projects
• Ability to present to client stakeholders
• Ability to obtain a federal clearance post hire
