Must Have Government Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React and JavaScript.
• Develop Back End services and APIs using Node.js.
• Build reusable, maintainable, and scalable Front End components.
• Integrate applications with RESTful APIs and Back End services.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Collaborate with UX and Product teams to deliver accessible, user-centred services.
• Ensure applications meet GDS and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers where appropriate.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support releases.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience developing applications with React.
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience developing Back End services using Node.js.
• Experience consuming and developing REST APIs.
• Good understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Experience working within Agile Scrum teams.
• Knowledge of responsive and cross-browser development.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
