Sr Product Manager

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Product Manager for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Tysons Corner, VA or Rockville, MD .

Looking for a strong Data savy lead product manager who can connect the dots between various data sources, systems to solve core business problems.

Responsibilities :

• The Lead Product Manager owns the vision and strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for multiple products and/or complex products. Responsibilities include defining the roadmap as well as planning and managing products and product features through the product development process.
• This role manages the product backlogs for a product group while prioritizing work and making product-related decisions based on the needs and expectations of users and stakeholders.
• The individual in this role identifies and manages work with a high level of autonomy. They manage multiple product designs at any given time while partnering closely with the business to understand pain points and develop strategy.
• Develops deep understanding of the business and product areas within the product group, as well as the relevant data that can be used to inform key decisions
• Defines multiple products and/or complex products and identifies gaps and user needs by creating vision, strategy, and requirements documents for product(s)
• Utilizes available data or commissions new research to identify user needs
• Performs experiments and organizes primary research to uncover additional user value

Required Skills :

• 7+ years of Product Management experience, including ownership of complex, data-driven products from strategy and roadmap through delivery and adoption.
• Strong data acumen with demonstrated ability to understand complex datasets, data sources, and relationships between systems to solve business problems.
• Experience partnering with engineering, data, and business teams to translate business needs and data requirements into product strategy, features, and prioritized backlogs.
• Proven ability to analyze and investigate data, identify gaps and relationships, and determine how existing data can be leveraged to address business or user needs.
• Experience leading data modernization, data platform, analytics, or other data-intensive product initiatives across multiple teams or stakeholder groups.
• Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and sensitive data/PII considerations, including appropriate handling, protection, or removal of sensitive information.
• Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and executive visibility, making product decisions and driving alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and prototyping mindset, with the ability to explore or build practical solutions rather than relying solely on traditional product management processes.

Preferred Skills :

• Understanding of Graph technology and GenAI solutions is a plus.
