Job Description

We are partnering with a highly regarded hedge fund seeking a Quant Analyst to join a growing quant modelling team to focus on Credit and Convertible Bonds.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior Portfolio Managers & their pods, playing a critical role in the success of their strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop quantitative models to identify and evaluate opportunities across convertible bonds, corporate credit, CDS, and related equity instruments.
  2. Conduct detailed valuation and scenario analysis, assessing sensitivity to credit spreads, interest rates, volatility, and equity market dynamics.
  3. Design and enhance proprietary tools used for screening, research, portfolio monitoring, and risk analysis.
  4. Build and maintain high-quality credit and convertible bond datasets, ensuring data integrity across multiple market sources.
  5. Create scalable analytics and pricing frameworks for a wide range of credit products, supporting both research and live trading activity.
  6. Monitor portfolio exposures and performance drivers, producing analysis that helps inform investment and hedging decisions.
  7. Collaborate with traders, risk professionals, and other investment teams to generate insights and share market intelligence.

Your Background

  1. Strong understanding of credit products and market structure, including corporate bonds, CDS, structured credit, convertible bonds, or related derivatives.
  2. Demonstrable experience developing quantitative models, pricing tools, or analytical frameworks within a front-office investment environment.
  3. Track record building and maintaining production-grade datasets and research infrastructure rather than purely academic or theoretical models.

This role offers the chance to work directly alongside experienced investors and contribute to strategies where quantitative research has a tangible impact on portfolio performance. Rather than being siloed within a purely research or technology function, you will play an active role in shaping investment decisions, expanding analytical capabilities, and uncovering opportunities across increasingly complex areas of the credit and convertible bond markets.
