Shopify Engineer (Part Time)

job summary:

We are looking for a hands-on Shopify Engineer to join us on a 4- to 5-month contract during our peak winter season. You will own front-end page builds and technical integration points between our Shopify storefront and back-office infrastructure (ERP/APIs). This is an execution-heavy, highly technical role suited for a developer who can work flexibly and asynchronously while making daytime alignment meetings.

responsibilities:

Responsibilities Build, customize, and maintain dynamic Shopify landing pages and storefront components using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and native Shopify page tools. Develop and maintain API integrations connecting Shopify with third-party systems and back-office ERP software. Execute technical requirements for seasonal promos and landing page builds without requiring day-to-day oversight. Participate in periodic daytime syncs while maintaining core production hours that fit your schedule

qualifications:

Requirements Proven hands-on development experience strictly within the Shopify ecosystem. Strong background in custom Shopify theme modifications, Liquid engineering, and REST/GraphQL APIs. Direct experience integrating Shopify stores with external ERPs or custom databases. Located in Eastern or Central time zones (or compatible working overlap) with flexible availability for daytime team syncs.
