Job Description

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Senior Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer to lead analysis, design, and assessment of nuclear surety and safety for strategic defense systems. You will develop and evaluate architectures, perform hazard and risk analyses, model system behavior, and ensure compliance with nuclear surety standards and DoD directives. Partner with multidisciplinary experts to solve complex defense and aerospace challenges while mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities

  • Lead nuclear surety systems engineering efforts for strategic defense systems
  • Develop and assess system architectures for nuclear safety and surety
