The Role • Program, set up, and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments • Fabricate and modify parts, apply knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures • Utilize precision measuring devices and perform machine maintenance • Align, secure work holding devices, and operate/set up HAAS 3, 4, and 5-axis Vertical/Horizontal machine centers • Write and edit programs manually at the controller for various materials, with full understanding of G and M Codes • Mentor junior machinists and troubleshoot issues as they arise What You'll Need • 8-10 years of experience as a Machinist/Programmer in a job shop environment • Previous experience with HAAS 3, 4, and 5-axis milling machines and horizontal HAAS with pallet pool • Proficiency in blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) • Experience with Mastercam software or equivalent for 2D, 3D, and 5th axis programming • High School diploma or equivalent; Certificate in CAD/CAM; Associate degree or Certificate in Machine Technology preferred What's On Offer • Competitive hourly rate of $28-$38, commensurate with experience • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) • Paid time off, sick time, and holidays • On-site fitness center and a casual work environment Apply via Haystack today!
