Marketplace Shopping team responsible for the pre-purchase experience of Marketplace customers, including product discovery, hierarchy, catalog management, product ranking, fulfillment options for Marketplace products, and the overall shopping experience.

Project Description:
The Marketplace Shopping team builds and evolves services that powers pre-purchase experience for Marketplace products. This includes product catalog and hierarchy management, product ranking and re-ranking, Marketplace fulfillment options, and other services that help customers discover, evaluate, and select products. The engineer will work on highly scalable, distributed backend systems and will have opportunities to drive technical design and architecture for critical Marketplace capabilities.

Position Summary/Job Description:
We are looking for a senior backend engineer who is a strong hands-on coder and can independently design, develop, and deliver scalable backend services for our Marketplace Shopping platform. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and distributed systems, with a strong understanding of system design and production-scale applications.
This role requires someone who can take ownership of complex technical problems, make sound architectural decisions, participate in design discussions The candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous requirements and should be able to drive solutions from design through implementation and production.
