Responsibilities- Design and maintain databases and data lakes that securely store and retrieve diverse biological and clinical data.
- Develop software infrastructure to link pathogen, immune response, clinical and epidemiological data at sample level.
- Implement data integration and sharing workflows that enable AI/ML training and analytics within and beyond CGCPT.
- Partner with governance, ethics, executive and research stakeholders to align data solutions with approvals and strategy.
- Contribute to grant proposals, presentations, seminars and supervision activities that strengthen data science capacity.
- Hold a Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- Bring proven experience delivering software engineering projects, from design through implementation and ongoing maintenance.
- Develop and optimise databases using SQL or similar technologies, including solutions for data integration.
- Use Git and GitHub confidently to manage code, version control, and collaborative development workflows.
- Build modern web applications with JavaScript or TypeScript, Node.js and contemporary web frameworks.
- Demonstrate strong self management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills within multidisciplinary environments.
