Job Description:

Intake Notes:
Sit with the business and understand what they do – there is a lot of automation work to do
Will need experience with AI and automation
This work will also be tied to salesforce – at least 50% - could be more
Looking at processes – asking lots of questions
True understanding of system integrations and how things work and are tied together
Solutions architect level
The Impact you Will Have:
This role will work as a member of Crucial Learning's Enterprise Systems team and partner with every area of the company. As the Senior AI Solutions Engineer, you will find where work across the business is manual, slow, or more complicated than it needs to be, and you will fix it. Sometimes that means applying AI, sometimes it means a straightforward automation or integration, and sometimes it means simplifying the process, so it doesn't need a tool at all. You will work hands-on with Claude, building agents and skills that operate on top of Salesforce and the systems connected to it, including NetSuite and DOMO. to design and deliver solutions that remove effort and improve accuracy.
You will be a trusted partner to executives and individual contributors alike, able to sit with a leader to understand a business problem and with the people doing the work to understand how it gets done. You will turn what you learn into clear, prioritized opportunities backed by a sound value case, then build and lead the delivery of those solutions under the architectural direction of the Salesforce & Integration Architect.
Success in this role requires sound judgment about when AI is the right answer and when it isn't, strong technical depth, real business acumen, and the communication skills to bring people along. The work that you do will directly free teams across the organization to spend their time on higher-value work.

What You’ll Do:
Partner with leaders and teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and other functions to understand how work gets done, mapping current processes and identifying where effort is manual, duplicated, or unnecessarily complex
Evaluate each opportunity and determine the right solution: simplifying or eliminating the process step, building a standard automation or integration, or applying AI where it genuinely adds value, and clearly explain the reasoning behind each recommendation
Build clear value cases for proposed solutions, including expected time saved, accuracy gained, cost, and risk, so leaders can make informed prioritization decisions
Translate business needs into technical requirements and solution designs, working within the architectural standards and direction set by the Salesforce & Integration Architect
Design, build, and deploy AI agents and assistants using Claude (including Claude Skills and plugins), Agentforce, and related tools, including prompt design, grounding in Salesforce and business data, guardrails, and testing
Build and enhance automations and integrations across Salesforce, NetSuite, DOMO, Slack, and other business systems using Flow, Apex, APIs, and MCP-based connections
Lead the build-out of solutions from discovery through deployment, coordinating with Salesforce Admin, Engineering, and DevOps team members to deliver on time and to standard
Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and business stakeholders on AI capabilities, setting realistic expectations and translating technical possibilities into clear business terms
Drive adoption and change management for new solutions, including training, documentation, and follow-up to confirm solutions are being used and delivering expected results
Track and report the impact of delivered solutions, including time saved, errors reduced, and business value created, and use the results to refine priorities
Ensure AI solutions are delivered securely and responsibly, including appropriate data access and permissions, human review where needed, and ongoing monitoring of output quality
Contribute reusable patterns, playbooks, and best practices for AI and automation work, and help upskill team members and business users on using AI tools effectively
Stay current on developments in Salesforce AI, Claude, ChatGPT, and the broader AI landscape, evaluating new capabilities pragmatically against real business needs
What You’ll Need:
7+ years of software development or technical engineering experience, including 3-5 years of hands-on Salesforce development (Apex, Flow, LWC, and integrations)
Hands-on experience designing and deploying Claude-based agents (e.g., built with the Claude API or Agent SDK, Claude Skills, or MCP connections to business systems) in a production environment
Deep, practical experience with AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT, including prompt design, building with LLM APIs, and a clear understanding of where these tools are strong and where they fall short
Demonstrated judgment in distinguishing problems that benefit from AI from those better solved through process simplification, standard automation, or integration
Experience integrating with enterprise business systems such as CRM, ERP, and BI platforms, and working with the data that powers them
Strong understanding of APIs, data models, and integration patterns across multiple systems
Proven track record of identifying process improvements and delivering solutions with measurable business results
Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand how the business operates and connect technical work to business outcomes
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage credibly with executives and individual contributors alike
Experience driving change management and user adoption for new technologies across diverse business teams
Ability to work independently, lead work through others without formal authority, and bring structure to ambiguous problems
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Nice to Have:
Claude Certified Architect – Foundations certification
Experience with Claudeforce, including the Salesforce in Claude plugin or Claude as a reasoning model within Agentforce
Hands-on experience designing and deploying Agentforce agents or other Salesforce AI capabilities
Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud (Data 360)
Salesforce Agentforce Specialist or Platform Developer certifications
Experience building or connecting Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to business systems
Experience with NetSuite, DOMO, or Slack automation
Familiarity with integration and automation platforms such as Boomi, Zapier, or Workato
