Job Description

Position Title: Business Analyst Junior
Location: Downtown Brooklyn, NY
Clearance Requirements: Not Applicable, No
Pay Rate: $48/hr on W2
Position Description:

Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Business Analyst to support digital transformation, process improvement, and enterprise projects within a utility environment. This role involves analyzing business processes, documenting requirements, collaborating with technical teams, and supporting project activities across various platforms. You will play a key part in facilitating communication between stakeholders, assisting with data validation, and supporting tools like Azure DevOps, SQL, and Visio to drive operational efficiency and technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Support project managers and cross-functional teams with project timelines, deliverables, and status updates.
  • Create user stories, process workflows, diagrams, and business process maps.
  • Assist with digital transformation initiatives such as enterprise repositories and operational tools.
  • Manage project backlogs, track tasks, coordinate testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Develop clear reports, SOPs, presentations, and training materials for diverse audiences.
  • Support data migration, validation, and automation using SQL, Python, and Oracle databases.
  • Maintain enterprise records and assist with process improvement projects.

Top Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree or in-progress in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, or related technical field
  • Strong internship or co-op experience within a utility or similar industry
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (preferred), workflow/process mapping, and supporting digital projects
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, Oracle databases, and data validation techniques
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and dependable
  • Strong initiative, accountability, and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Figma, GIS, or mapping systems
  • Support for QA/UAT processes and enterprise technology implementations
  • Exposure to digital transformation or operational efficiency projects
