SKILLS REQUIRED

Primary (Must-Have):

\n

• F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM, ASM/Advanced WAF, APM) | iRules (TCL-based) & Declarative Automation (AS3, DO, TS)

\n

• Network Protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SSL/TLS) | Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure) & Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)

\n\n

Secondary (Good to Have):

\n

• Application Development (Java, Python, Node.js, .NET) | Monitoring & Observability (Splunk, Grafana)

POSITION OVERVIEW

\n

This role sits within the Enterprise Infrastructure and Application Delivery department, reporting directly to the Director of Network and Cloud Operations. The incumbent will solve critical traffic management, availability, and security challenges for the client by architecting, configuring, and maintaining robust F5 and load-balancing ecosystems across multiple environments.

\n\n

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

\n

• Design, configure, and manage F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) virtual servers, pools, nodes, and monitors for enterprise applications across multiple environments.

\n

• Develop and maintain iRules, iApps, and Local Traffic Policies to enable advanced traffic steering, header manipulation, URI-based routing, and SSL offloading.

\n

• Manage F5 Advanced WAF (Web Application Firewall) policies to protect applications against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, bot traffic, and DDoS attacks.

\n

• Support application development teams by integrating load balancing configurations into CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code workflows using Ansible, Terraform, or F5 APIs.

\n

• Troubleshoot complex application delivery issues spanning L4–L7 layers, perform capacity planning, and participate in on-call rotations for production incidents.
