Support veterans by helping coordinate scheduling, reception, and front-line administrative services within a healthcare environment. Your organization, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a busy phone-and-computer setting will help support timely access to care.
At International SOS Government Medical Services, you'll support healthcare programs that improve patient care and operational readiness across the U.S. and internationally. Founded in 1984, International SOS operates in more than 90 countries, delivering healthcare, medical assistance, emergency response, and workforce support services worldwide.
As a Medical Support Assistant, you'll provide scheduling, reception, and administrative support within a veteran-focused healthcare environment. You'll work closely with administrative and clinical teams to help coordinate activities, maintain accurate scheduling information, and support efficient day-to-day healthcare operations.
Employment Type: Full-Time
This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.
Schedule: Full-time schedules will be assigned based on operational needs. Shifts may include weekday, evening, and Saturday coverage. Specific shift details will be confirmed during the hiring process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clerical scheduling and reception support within a healthcare environment.
- Coordinate scheduling activities and help maintain accurate appointment information.
- Support patients, clinical staff, and administrative teams through phone and in-person reception activities.
- Perform frequent computer and telephone-based work, often simultaneously.
- Use required healthcare computer systems and scheduling applications to support daily operations.
- Use Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word as part of routine administrative work.
- Work closely with Medical Support Assistant leads, supervisors, and administrative personnel to support scheduling procedures, coordination, and performance requirements.

Requirements
- At least six months of general clerical experience and six months of experience using computer programs for scheduling.
- Ability to type 45–60 words per minute with minimal errors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and hospital and/or clinic environments.
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
- Must be a resident of the United States.
- Ability to successfully complete the required NACI-level background investigation.

This position is subject to the Service Contract Act (SCA). In addition to the base hourly rate, the position is eligible for Health & Welfare benefits in accordance with applicable SCA requirements. Final compensation and applicable SCA wage and benefit requirements will be determined based on contract award and the applicable wage determination.

Compensation Disclaimer:
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
