Employee Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical chemistry support to projects across the clinical drug development pipeline
- Execute test method protocols for in-vitro biopharmaceutics team that includes but not limited to thermodynamic solubility measurement, USP dissolution, precipitation and flux assays
- Prepare analytical solutions and biorelevant media for in-vitro experiments, including accurate weighing, potency corrections, buffer preparation, and appropriate handling of active pharmaceutical ingredients
- Analyze study samples by HPLC and UV-vis, including calibration standard preparation, sample processing, and quantitation of drug concentration from in-vitro studies
- Perform first-pass review of dissolution, solubility, and analytical data, identifying anomalous results (e.g., carryover, precipitation, coning, filtration loss) for scientific follow-up
- Document findings in electronic lab notebooks and technical reports in accordance with ALCOA data integrity principles
- Support routine laboratory operations, including equipment readiness, consumables, safe lab practices, and scheduling instruments
- Adapt experimental execution and prioritization to shifting project needs, balancing scientific rigor with resource efficiency and study objectives
The Ideal Candidate would possess:
- Working knowledge of HPLC and UV-vis spectroscopy techniques, as they apply to quantitation of organic small molecules in solution
- Basic proficiency in scientific data analysis like spreadsheet-based calculations and chromatography data interfaces
- Excellent oral and written communication, strong attention to detail, and strong quantitative ability
- Ability to communicate and collaborate well in a cross functional environment
- Customer focused and comfortable supporting multiple project teams with shifting timelines, with a problem-solving mindset and a positive, optimistic attitude
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Hands-on experience executing in-vitro biopharmaceutics testing, such as USP dissolution, solubility, precipitation, or flux assays
- Proficiency in data analytic software like GraphPad Prism, Origin/Origin Pro, JMP etc.
- One to two years of wet lab experience in a pharmaceutical company or at a contracting organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience.
Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Physical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline with relevant experience.
- Position is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00PM. Overtime as needed.
- May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs
