Job Description

How do you show people what it’s like to work at a tech company, and help colleagues stay informed and connected?

Join METRO.digital and support our Employer Branding efforts across social media, content creation, internal communications, recruitment marketing and events. You will be part of our People & Culture team working with colleagues across countries, helping turn ideas and information into clear communication.

This is a practical role with room to offer your ideas, develop your skills and take responsibility for defined tasks, with guidance and feedback.

    What you will work on:

    • Events and employee engagement: Support the planning and delivery of internal events, employer branding activities and recruitment events, particularly in Germany. Help with invitations, registrations, suppliers, materials, on-site coordination and follow-up.
    • Employer branding and recruitment marketing: Contribute to recruitment campaigns, career website updates, employee stories and other projects that help people understand our work and culture.
    • Team coordination: Help connect Employer Branding with the Transformation Office and People & Culture team by gathering input, coordinating contributions, tracking deadlines and following up on reviews and approvals.
    • Social media and content: Help maintain our content calendar, create, write and adapt copy, schedule posts and support community management across LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook. Find stories within the business and help bring colleagues’ experiences to our channels.
    • Design and video: Create visuals, presentations and campaign materials in Canva. Help capture and edit short videos, including interviews, event highlights and content for social media, adding subtitles and adapting formats for different channels.
    • Internal communications: Draft and format employee updates, announcements, event invitations and content for internal channels. Help make information clear, relevant and easy to act on.
    • Organisation and reporting: Keep content assets and project trackers organised, support supplier coordination and branded merchandise requests, and help track content and campaign performance to identify useful improvements.
    • Onboarding support: Help prepare and coordinate onboarding activities, including welcome bags, onboarding sessions and related communications, helping new colleagues feel welcome and informed.
    • People & Culture support: Help design, update and maintain internal People & Culture SharePoint pages, keeping content relevant, easy to navigate and visually aligned with our brand.
    • You’re studying marketing, communications, media, design, business or a related subject.
    • You have some practical experience creating social media content, whether through university projects, a student organization, a personal project, volunteering or previous work.
    • You write clearly, enjoy shaping a message for different audiences and have an eye for detail, layout and visual consistency.
    • You are comfortable using Canva and can edit simple videos using a tool such as CapCut, Premiere Pro or an equivalent. Experience with Figma is a plus.
    • You can use AI tools to support tasks such as research, brainstorming, drafting and adapting content. You know how to give useful instructions, assess the output and check accuracy and tone, while respecting company guidance and confidential information.
    • You have a basic understanding of internal communications and event planning, and an interest in how communication supports employees through change.
    • Youa are organized, follow through on agreed tasks and feel comfortable asking questions, gathering information and working with different teams.
    • You have strong written and spoken English. German language skills are a must for local communication and event coordination.

You don’t need experience in every area listed. A solid foundation in content creation, curiosity and a willingness to learn matter more than knowing every tool.

You will gain practical experience across employer branding and employee communications in an international technology environment, with opportunities to see your work published, support events and learn how different teams work together.

Please include a few examples of your work with your application. Social posts, designs, videos, writing samples and university or personal projects are all welcome.

    What We Offer:

    • Work-life balance: Flexible working hours -  up to 20 working hours/week - with the option of mobile working in agreement with your line manager, prorated holidays earned based on your contract and working time.
    • Mentoring from senior colleagues.
    • Well-being: Company medical care including a range of preventive services, such as flu shots, OTHEB employee assistance program.
