Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Robert Walters is working in partnership with a leading international business with operations across the UK, Ireland, and Europe, specializing in the distribution of essential products and services that support a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are keen to appoint an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, to be based out of the Birmingham offices on a hybrid basis. The permanent opportunity will pay a salary range of £45,000 to £48,00 plus 15% bonus.

As an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for monitoring, supporting and maintaining the shared IT services and delivering projects across group.

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer: Duties

• Proactive management and responding to alerts from monitoring platforms including the Office 365 Tenancy, on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
• Working in the Service Delivery function, providing Tier 3 & 4 support for Microsoft products, Meraki networks and Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Manage and support the delivery of Infrastructure projects
• Design and implement new technologies, upgrades and enhancements
• System administration tasks, user and security administration, housekeeping, software upgrades, patching, and cyclical health and status checks
• Maintaining and creating documentation using Visio, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint as appropriate
• Understanding of Microsoft technology, Azure, M365, and Windows Server and security
• Maintain a high security posture, implementation of new controls and addressing any findings from vulnerability assessments

Cloud Infrastructure Engineer: Experience

• Windows Server
• Entra ID, Active Directory and DNS
• PowerShell and Scripting in Microsoft environments.
• Management of Office 365 tenancy including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint & Intune
• Implementation and management of workloads within Azure
• Meraki & Palo Alto networks
• Veeam backup and replication technology
• Documentation skills using Visio, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint as appropriate
