Summary
We are looking for an experienced HR Regional Lead – UK to provide strategic and operational HR leadership across our UK business.
This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role, partnering closely with senior business and functional leaders to translate our people strategy into practical actions that improve organisational effectiveness, capability and business performance.
You will have overall responsibility for HR delivery across the UK, leading and developing the regional HR team while personally taking the lead on higher-value business partnering, organisational change and complex people matters.
Alongside your regional responsibilities, you will also act as HR Business Partner to an assigned global function , creating a strong connection between global functional priorities and their execution across our different locations.
This is an opportunity for an experienced HR leader who enjoys operating in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment and can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

How You'll Make an Impact
As HR Regional Lead – UK, you will:
- Partner with senior regional and functional leaders, translating commercial and operational priorities into clear people, organisation and capability plans.
- Lead HR delivery across our UK locations, ensuring a consistent, pragmatic and commercially focused approach.
- Act as HR Business Partner for an assigned global function, supporting leaders and teams operating across multiple geographies.
- Lead workforce planning and organisation design activity, including restructuring, role clarification and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
- Use workforce and performance data to provide insight and challenge around headcount, labour costs, vacancies, agency usage, absence, turnover and productivity.
- Drive strong performance management across the business, supporting leaders to set clear expectations, address underperformance and build high-performing teams.
- Lead talent and succession planning, identifying critical roles, capability gaps, retention risks and future development priorities.
- Provide senior-level guidance on complex employee relations matters, including performance, absence, grievances, disciplinaries and organisational change.
- Ensure HR practices remain compliant with UK employment legislation and company policies while maintaining appropriate governance and risk management.
- Lead the people aspects of business transformation, restructuring and changes to operating models.
- Champion the adoption of HR systems, standardised processes and improved workforce reporting, helping us simplify and strengthen the way HR operates.
- Lead, coach and develop the UK HR team, creating clear accountability while increasing the team's business-partnering capability.
- Build strong relationships across HR, Talent Acquisition & Development, Finance, Legal, Payroll and other enabling functions to deliver a joined-up service to the business.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for an established HR professional who combines strong generalist expertise with commercial awareness, credibility and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
You'll ideally bring:
- Significant progressive generalist HR experience, ideally within a multi-site manufacturing, distribution, industrial or similarly operational environment .
- A strong track record as an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, HR Lead or similar senior HR professional , partnering with senior operational and commercial leaders.
- Deep knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations , with experience managing complex and sensitive cases.
- Demonstrable experience across organisation design, workforce planning, restructuring, performance management, talent and succession.
- Experience leading and developing HR professionals and creating clear standards, ownership and accountability within an HR team.
- Experience working within a matrix or functional operating model, ideally supporting teams across multiple locations or countries.
- Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of labour cost, productivity, headcount and the impact people decisions have on overall business performance.
- Confidence using HR data and reporting to identify trends, challenge assumptions and support better business decisions.
- Experience of HR systems implementation, process improvement, standardisation or HR transformation would be advantageous.
- CIPD Level 7, an equivalent professional HR qualification, or demonstrably equivalent senior HR experience.
- The ability to influence and constructively challenge senior leaders while building strong, credible relationships.
- A pragmatic, resilient and delivery-focused approach, with the ability to move comfortably between strategic partnering and hands-on HR leadership.
- Strong communication and change leadership skills, with the judgement to manage complex or sensitive situations effectively.
- Flexibility to travel regularly across our UK locations.
Above all, you'll be a commercially minded HR leader who understands that great HR is about enabling the business to perform. You'll be comfortable challenging where needed, simplifying how we work and ensuring our people, structure and capabilities are aligned to where the business is going.
