Job Description

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with senior leaders, challenging and influencing where appropriate, translating business priorities into practical people plans, while remaining close to the operation and involved in day-to-day delivery.

You’ll take ownership across:

  • Strategic business partnering – partnering with senior leaders to understand business priorities, identify people challenges and develop practical solutions that support growth and performance
  • Recruitment, onboarding & workforce planning – supporting recruitment across operational and professional roles, improving hiring and onboarding processes, and working with leaders to understand current and future workforce requirements
  • Organisational effectiveness – supporting organisational design, succession planning, capability requirements and the development of effective team structures
  • Performance & accountability – working with leaders to strengthen performance management, improve accountability and address underperformance effectively
  • People data & commercial insight – using MI, trends, benchmarking and workforce data to identify issues, challenge thinking and support business decisions
  • Leadership & manager capability – coaching and challenging managers to improve leadership capability and take greater ownership of their people
  • Employee Relations – providing commercially focused guidance on complex ER matters, managing risk and ensuring consistent decision-making
  • Employee engagement & culture – identifying engagement themes and working with leaders to develop practical initiatives that improve retention, culture and employee experience
  • HR systems, processes & continuous improvement – identifying opportunities to improve, automate and simplify HR processes, systems and ways of working
  • Change & growth – supporting business change, organisational development and people initiatives as the organisation continues to evolve

We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience gained within manufacturing, logistics, distribution or a similarly operational environment.

You’ll ideally be CIPD Level 5 qualified or above (or equivalent), commercially minded, confident working with senior stakeholders and able to demonstrate how you have used people insight to influence business decisions and improve organisational performance.

This isn’t a purely strategic HRBP position. You’ll need to be comfortable moving between senior-level conversations and hands-on delivery, including recruitment, ER and supporting managers with day-to-day people challenges.

This is a fully on-site role in Milton Keynes and would suit someone looking for genuine ownership, senior stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to help shape and drive the people agenda within a growing business.
