Infra Delivery Install Tech IV, DCC Communities

As a Data Center Network Infrastructure Technician, you install and maintain physical network infrastructure in AWS data centers. You will rack and move large enterprise equipment, run and test fiber and copper cabling, patch connections between network devices, and follow established procedures for hardware installation and break-fix work. The role is hands-on and on-site, requires frequent bending, lifting, ladder use, and travel between data center locations, and supports 24/7 operations with occasional after-hours response.

Responsibilities

• Install, move, and rack large enterprise equipment in AWS data centers.
• Run, terminate, and patch fiber and copper network cabling between devices.
• Use test equipment such as VFL, power meters, and OTDR to validate cabling.
• Execute standard hardware installation and break-fix procedures accurately.
• Follow safety and security standards when working with racks, ladders, and tools.
• Travel between regional data center locations for deployments and training.
• Document installation work and coordinate with cross-functional teams as needed.
• Provide after-hours or primary responder support as part of a rotation when required.
