The DevOps Engineer collaborates closely with software developers, QA teams, and system administrators to automate workflows, improve system reliability, and enforce infrastructure best practices. • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Build and manage containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS.
• Monitor system health, application performance, and infrastructure metrics using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Implement and maintain logging, alerting, and incident response processes to ensure high availability and rapid issue resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated testing, code quality scans, and security checks into deployment pipelines.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP, including compute, networking, storage, and IAM configurations.
• Write and maintain scripts (Bash, Python, PowerShell) to automate routine operational tasks.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to production incidents as needed.
• Document infrastructure configurations, runbooks, and standard operating procedures. Desired Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering (SRE), or systems administration roles.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible).
• Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, ECS/EKS).
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or ELK).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, load balancing, and firewall configuration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, CKA, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
• Experience in government or DoD environments is desirable.
