Job Description

This graduate engineering role provides broad exposure to a range of engineering disciplines within Local Government, supporting the planning, development and maintenance of Council's water and sewerage infrastructure while building technical and professional skills. The position will commence in the water and wastewater development assessment team and offers opportunities to work across multiple engineering functions, requiring strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to ongoing learning and development.

We are seeking:
  • Qualified Civil Engineer (or related discipline) eligible for Engineers Australia membership and holding a current Driver Licence.
  • Sound knowledge of civil engineering principles, particularly water and sewerage infrastructure.
  • Ability to support engineering projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare technical reports and engage with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and research skills, with exposure to GIS and asset management concepts.

Where it's located:

This position is based in Tweed Heads, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
