Job Description

The Bail Enforcement Agent will perform complex field investigations involving the planning and coordination of fugitive recovery. He/she will work under general supervision. He/she will also be expected to display initiative and, when necessary, make sound decisions independently. Employees are expected to work on weekends as dictated by caseload or as deemed necessary by a supervisor. Some periodic travel should be expected.

Essential duties include but not limited to:

Apprehend defendants, at times using physical force. Transport defendants and book them into the correct jail.

Conduct investigations of forfeited company bail bonds.

Review, verify information. Generate leads and conduct through investigations and field interviews.

Identifies, contacts and interviews potential sources of information.

Prepares, evaluates, summarizes and documents investigative findings into case notes within companywide internal computer database.   

Prepares and submits legal documentation to company legal representatives for further legal process.   

Conduct surveillance of individuals or locations deemed pertinent to investigations. 

May interact and establish working relationships with various municipals, state, federal and private organizations. 

Ability to function as a productive member of a team and work individually when case dictates. 

Keeps supervisor appropriately informed of ongoing activities and other matters affecting operations. 

Adheres to all company policies and procedures and performs work as assigned.  

Must be prepared to travel to multiple states and work possible weekends.  Must be able to work flexible hours as case dictates.   

Will at times be exposed to chemical agents

Possess a valid driver's license with good driving record 

High school diploma or GED 

Have or qualify to possess a Washington state concealed weapons permit.   

Have or be able to obtain a valid Bail Enforcement license for Washington 

 Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
