Citrix VDI Engineer

Locations: New Jersey (NJ) and Columbus, OH

Position: Citrix VDI Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Citrix VDI Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance our Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Citrix technologies, Windows administration, and virtualization platforms to ensure reliable and secure end-user computing services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.

  Experience with Omnissa Horizon is mandatory
• Manage VDI infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting virtual desktops.
• Perform upgrades, patching, and maintenance of Citrix components.
• Support VMware or Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
• Troubleshoot user connectivity, performance, and application delivery issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Participate in on-call support as needed.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience with Citrix VDI technologies.
• Strong experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, StoreFront, Director, and Citrix Gateway.
• Experience with VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Understanding of networking concepts, DNS, DHCP, and load balancing.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Citrix certifications are a plus.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or cloud-based VDI solutions.
• Experience in enterprise-scale environments
