SAP Functional Lead (S/4HANA & FICO strength needed)

Hybrid with 1-2 days per week in Central London

6–7 months Contract |Outside IR35 | Competitive Day rate

We're supporting an end-user client that is part-way through a SAP S/4HANA transformation. They need an experienced client-side SAP Functional Lead (FICO focus) to join now and help take the programme through to go-live and beyond.

This is a leadership role, not a hands-on build role. You'll provide functional leadership across FICO, SD and MM, act as the main point of contact with the SI, and make sure requirements are clearly defined and delivered. FICO is the main focus, so strong FICO depth is essential.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading design decisions through testing, go-live and hypercare
  • Managing and supporting a small team of FICO, SD and MM functional consultants
  • Working with the SI day to day and getting the best out of the partnership
  • Overseeing delivery of follow-on template work after go-live
  • Fronting stakeholders with clear, jargon-free communication

What you'll bring

  • A strong SAP FICO background, now operating at lead or design authority level
  • S/4HANA implementation experience on the customer side, including managing an SI
  • Experience leading or managing functional consultants
  • Good working knowledge of SD and MM
  • A calm, structured approach, with the ability to package problems clearly and keep things moving
  • Strong stakeholder skills
